The good news is that dennis, aka dennis^[J] aka dennis-the-menace has been accepted as an administrator on SpankSite.net. His experience and wisdom will help the server and the users grow exponentially. Please feel free to go to him if you need help. When I get a chance, his name will appear in /STAFF as well as in the Staff page on this website. Congratulate him when you see him.

Now for the bad news: the server went down briefly today. There were some hiccups in some of the work that was being done to the box and it had to be restarted (twice). I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

SpankBot has been killed. There were too many problems with access control and the Guests on java, so I’ve eliminated it. Instead, ChanServ will sit in the rooms from now on. SpankBot might be reincarnated later as a BotServ Bot, but I do not feel the need for that yet.

I have also decided to implement Channel Prefixes. They are going to be placed BEFORE the channel topic, like [BDSM], [Ageplay] etc. A list of acceptable prefixes can be made available upon request.

We have made it to our first 10 members!! I couldn’t be happier.
Plans will begin to advertise! advertise! advertise! Heh.
For now, our first ageplay family has arrived and made a new home on the server!

- Services have been installed & some basic channels added on the IRC Server
